The Geological Society of Madagascar (or GSM) is an association of any person (students, graduates, teachers, professionals, and affiliates) interested in the field of Earth Sciences (or Geosciences) in Madagascar. The association is governed by ordinance n ° 60–133 of October 03, 1960 relating to the association regime in Madagascar.
The association is apolitical and non-profit. It is more specifically oriented in the scientific and educational field, and it aims to enhance the scientific knowledge relating to the fields of geoscience in Madagascar.
The association's slogan is "Izay mitambatra vato, izay misaraka fasika" (which translates freely "Unity is strength"). This means that the association is completely inclusive, i.e., we do not discriminate whoever you are.
